Jax is now a researcher, writer, and analyst. She is a geopolitical analyst, contributing reports on geopolitics and its impact on critical minerals. Using her skills as a journalist of 15 years in the US, UK, France, and Canada, she also assists organisations in their government relations work, helping them organise, write, and present reports and responses to government initiatives and consultations, as well as drafting white papers and case studies. She’s also a community leader, sitting on (French-language) community boards and a key participant in community initiatives, such as Comité des Ruelles. Jax is very committed to environmental causes, and is an ardent member of the parents’ environmental organisation For Our Kids. She divides her time between Montreal and the UK.
Her work has appeared in The New Statesman, The Guardian, Reuters, VICE, The Montreal Gazette, The National Post, Huffington Post, Daily Mail, Dow Jones Newswires, Religion News Service, and Forbes as well as numerous technology and science magazines.
She has held staff positions at S&P Global and Mining Magazine, and managed Mergermarket’s Paris bureau.
She also led news startup Central Asia Newswire, covering political and economic developments in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan which was widely read by diplomats, investors, and geopolitical analysts.
She holds a BA in Politics from Marist College, an MA in Political Science from McGill University, and an MA in Science Journalism from City University of London.
